Classification: Representation Theory, Automorphic Forms
The Department of Mathematics at Aarhus University invites applications for two two-year Assistant Professor positions in Analytic Number Theory, Automorphic Forms and Representation Theory, available from February 1, 2027. The successful candidates will be affiliated with the "Estimates for L-functions" project, led by Professor Paul D. Nelson and funded by the Villum Foundation. The project will concern research in some part of analytic number theory, automorphic forms and/or representation theory, building on recent advances in these subjects.
QualificationsApplicants should hold a PhD degree in mathematics and have a strong research record in analytic number theory, automorphic forms, representation theory, or related areas. The ability to conduct independent research, as well as to collaborate effectively within the research group, will be emphasized. Experience in teaching at the university level and the ability to contribute to the department’s research-based teaching activities (including associated examination duties) in mathematics are expected. The position may also include knowledge exchange with society.
