We are seeking experienced engineers with a strong background in feasibility, site selection and site layout for offshore wind projects. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the offshore wind industry, focusing on various critical aspects in the project development phase.

The position is part of the Marine, Geotech, Tunnel and Bridges business unit, where the offshore engineering market area, competences and experience are embedded in two departments respectively in offshore structures and the coastal & offshore department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct feasibility studies for offshore wind sites, evaluating potential locations based on technical, economic, and regulatory factors.
  • Design and assess constructions and foundations, turbines, and cable systems with a focus on cost analysis (CAPEX, OPEX, ABEX).
  • Analyze the economics of potential projects, including levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and other financial metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for offshore wind projects.
  • Assess grid connection options and requirements for integrating offshore wind farms into the national grid.
  • Evaluate site conditions and their impact on project feasibility, including distance to port and other logistical considerations.

About you:

  • Positions are available at various experience levels: Junior 1-3 years, Advanced 3-7 years, Senior 7-14 years, Principal 14-25 years, Chief 25+ years.
  • Proven expertise in feasibility studies, including site selection and layout planning.
  • Strong understanding of construction and foundation design, turbine technology, and cable systems.
  • Experience with cost estimation and financial analysis in the context of offshore wind projects.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to offshore wind.
  • Familiarity with grid connection processes and requirements.
  • Ability to assess various site conditions and their implications for project viability.
