Ammongas tailors solutions to our customers who wish to produce green biofuel and green CO2. We have entered new markets as many countries are looking for Danish solutions to help them on their way to a green energy transition, driven by national and international project developers ranging from farmers to large energy groups.
Your new role
The Senior Technical Project Manager leads and oversees large-scale biogas upgrade projects, ensuring successful execution from inception to completion. This role involves managing technical, logistical, and financial aspects while aligning with industry standards.
You can look forward to contributing mainly with:
- Technical project management and providing technical support for other less experienced Project Managers
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
- Oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of biogas upgrading facilities
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, service and finance
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies
- Providing a customer centric and focus on quality of final project delivered
- Technical support to the sales department on sales offerings
- Inspection during workshop production and onsite construction
- Understanding of commissioning and biogas upgrade plant operation
- Understanding of local standards and regulations in countries where Ammongas delivers equipment (Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway and US) and performing regulatory due diligence for new markets.
Some travelling is to be expected.
Job prerequisites
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in project management, preferably in renewable energy or biogas
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Designing of plants (drawing in 2D and 3D, P&ID)
- Understanding of procurement practices and contract management during a project execution phase
- Familiarity with ASME, HAZLOC and UL
- Understanding of control and automation descriptions e.g. IO, Consumption, PID Control
- Familiar with performance tracking of projects via KPIs
- You are a skilled IT user
- Proficiency in English, Danish can be an advantage.

About Ammongas A/S
Ammongas is a Danish producer of environmental facilities, established in 2002 with more than 40 plants in Northern Europe and four in the US, with two more underway in 2024. The plants are designed and built by our dedicated engineers focusing on sustainability, economy, efficiency, and operational reliability in biogas upgrading, biomethane polishing for CH4 liquefaction, CO2 liquefaction, and carbon capture.
Ammongas was acquired by European Energy in 2022 with the purpose of facilitating new possibilities in the development of biogas upgrading and carbon capture in Denmark and abroad.
