Assistant Professor in Ga2O3 Semiconductor and power module manufacturing
The Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Energy, Section for Power Electronics System Integration and Materials
At AAU Energy, a position as Assistant Professor in Ga2O3 Semiconductor and power module manufacturing is open for appointment from January 2027 or soon hereafter. The duration of the position is 3 years.
Your work tasks
The position is offered in relation to the research group Power Electronic Packaging, Materials and Emerging Applications and the Assistant Professor will be positioned to the section for Power Electronics System Integration and Materials.
Research areas will be within semiconductors manufacturing and power module packaging manufacturing. The job includes the management of the purchasing process of the Minimal Fab semiconductor manufacturing equipment, then commission of semiconductor manufacturing equipment Minimal Fab from the supplier Yokogawa and then the responsibility of the daily operation of the Minimal Fab.
It is expected you manage a team of semiconductor Ga2O3 device designers and device manufacturing people.
The packaging of Ga2O3 semiconductors and applications here of, is also your expected task in collaboration with colleagues. It is expected you write applications together with external collaboration partners targeting national and international funding agencies.
The dissemination of semiconductor manufacturing knowhow using Minimal Fab is a part of the job.
