Job Description:Safety Business Analyst for Safety Technology

Are you energized by participating in collaborative and solution-oriented professional discussions? Do you enjoy troubleshooting and knowledge sharing? Would you like to leverage your experience with configurations in safety databases, such as ARGUS?

In this temporary position, you will contribute to a team that plays a pivotal role in upholding Ferring's license to operate as well as introducing and implementing new functionalities and technologies within pharmacovigilance (PV).

Ferring + you
This is an 18-month position, where you will join our Safety Technology team at our International PharmaScience Center in Copenhagen.

Your new team comprises six colleagues with different specialties, including computer science and pharmaceutical science. As part of the Global Safety department, we are responsible for the daily support and maintenance of Ferring's global safety database with functionality and compliance as our guiding lights.

"As a team, we excel at knowledge sharing and problem-solving. When faced with obstacles or technical challenges, we band together to find solutions. Engaging in professional discussions is a key part of our daily routine – and so is sharing a good laugh," explains Director Anna Nordle, Head of Safety Technology.

Additionally, we collaborate with IT on introducing, implementing, and leveraging new technologies as needed to support business requirements. This includes transforming manual processes and documents into automated ones, allowing us to focus on more value-adding activities.

Your day at Ferring
In this role, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with professionals from various backgrounds. Whether you speak to case handlers or IT colleagues, it is essential that you can translate complex knowledge and establish a mutual understanding.

Depending on your specific experience, you can expect to divide your time between various daily maintenance and support tasks and implementing new solutions or enhancements to the existing system. Within this scope, your primary tasks will include:

  • System administration and management of the global safety database, ARGUS, or other IT systems owned by Global Safety
  • Management and administration of ICSR, including device case submission
  • Analysis of complex application issues to improve, change, or adapt existing PV processes
  • Change management – enabling change requests for ARGUS and other PV IT systems, including impact analysis of change
  • Participation in cross-functional project teams, implementing new technologies or enhancing PV practices

Behind our innovation – there's you
You view problems as puzzles that can be solved with the right perspective and approach – and you are comfortable reaching out to experts from other fields to get there. You have strong interpersonal skills and are good at communicating complex knowledge to an audience without your understanding of the subject at hand.

Additionally, you have:

  • Experience making configurations in ARGUS or a similar safety database
  • Experience from a GxP environment (preferably pharmacovigilance)
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in life or computer science, or equivalent experience

People come first at Ferring
At Ferring, each employee has an opportunity to bring science to life through their passion, creativity, and innovation to achieve greater and more equitable health outcomes for patients from around the world.

We know that it is the combination of our diverse backgrounds, experiences, expertise, and perspectives that enables us to find solutions to the most challenging problems.

Behind our purpose – there's you
If our mission and your vision are aligned, please apply. Kindly include a few lines regarding your motivation for applying in the CV or a cover letter. Please note that we review applications continuously and close the process when we find the right match.

For any questions, please reach out to Head of Safety Technology Anna Nordle at agil@ferring.com.

If you have questions about the recruitment process, please contact Talent Acquisition Partner Mette Markussen at mette.markussen@ferring.com.

We are unable to offer relocation assistance for this position. Candidates must be located in the Oresund region or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
