Senior Process Engineer for high-quality consumables

Join our experienced Consumables Engineering team In our Engineering department, you will find our Consumables Engineering team where 2 experienced colleagues are ready to welcome you. In the team, we are responsible for maintaining Struers’ large scale of consumables, ensuring safety, quality, and manufacturing. On a day-to-day basis, the team takes part in cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing, especially with the R&D Consumable team, where we work closely on development projects. Gain a varied workday that will never get dull In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and reliability of Struers’ consumables product portfolio in the entire product lifecycle including production support and R&D projects. Specifically, you will: - Work with all phases of product lifecycle management from change requests/requirements, development of improved solutions, substitutions, design reviews, test, verification, validation and documentation in order to improve quality and design for manufacture. - Take a leading role by coordinating relevant activities internally and with suppliers for quality, cost, and product/process improvement projects. - Chair LEAN events with colleagues, ensuring consumables design changes and processes are planned, validated, and implemented. - Apply Structured Problem-Solving methods (FMEA, 8D) to resolve internal NCR's and external complaints, in collaboration with customers and colleagues across the organization. - Maintain and ensure high safety/compliance and quality standards throughout the product lifecycle. - Handle supplier changes and obsolete components on products in running production. E.g. by finding, selecting, and testing new components/materials based on production and relevant product specifications. - Design, plan, execute and document verification & validation activities. - Support consumables production lines, R&D projects and implement improvements. - Ensure product compliance, i.e. SDS and country-specific labelling. Experience with production processes and quality We are looking for a colleague who wants to be an active part of our small team. You are outgoing and able to collaborate with different functions and stakeholders, and you can prioritize your work. We hope you are ready to step into the team with great ideas and the willingness to put your experience into play. The perfect candidate holds a degree in chemical engineering, process technology or material technology, seasoned by some track record within materials and process development & maintenance. You are detail-oriented, systematic and analytical, with a strong focus on quality, whilst keeping an eye on the “big picture”, with a pinch of pragmatism. To succeed in this role, you can tick several of the boxes below: - Substantial experience with consumable production, quality and design for manufacturing. - A professional track record exhibiting substantial experience with various processing technologies and methods, e.g. coating, heating/baking, lamination, mixing, filling, conveying. - Experience or interest in project management. - Have experience with production support and continuous improvement. - Have worked with PLM systems. - Are familiar with working in a laboratory. - Are fluent in Danish and English.
