København K, Denmark KU-CENTER FOR SUNDHED OG SAMFUND Full time
The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen (UCPH), invites candidates for a postdoctoral position in experimental cognitive psychology from 1 June 2025.

The position is full-time and for 2.5 years.

Introduction
A postdoc position is available in the newly established project on experimental investigation and computational modelling of cognitive control and flexibility funded by the Independent Research Council. The project is located at the Psychology Department at the University of Copenhagen (see psy.ku.dk) and directed by PI Associate Professor Anders Petersen. The expected starting date is 1 June 2025. The position is available for two and a half years.

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work on implementing and running computer-based psychological experiments investigating cognitive control and task-switching. The experiment will involve behavioural measures, eye tracking, pupillometry, and EEG. As a large part of the project revolves around computational models of cognition, the candidate will also, in collaboration with the research team, contribute to the development and testing of neural network models of perceptual and neural processes underlying cognitive control. The successful candidate will take a full and active role in the daily life of the research group, including attending workshops, reading groups and lab meetings.

Your Competencies and Opportunities
The candidate must have obtained a PhD degree in Psychology, Neuroscience or a related or relevant discipline. The preferred candidate will have excellent knowledge of computer-based psychological testing and data analysis. Knowledge of eye-tracking and EEG would be beneficial as would a willingness to acquire new analysis and modelling tools. While a background in psychology is not a necessity, a keen interest in human cognition is required.

The candidate should have good collaborative skills, as well as skills in the realm of verbal and written communication, as evidenced by publications. The candidate must have an international outlook and be able to work independently and proactively.
