Role Description You will join BeGreen as an Information Security Specialist, reporting directly to the Information Security Manager, and become part of the Information Security Department. The department serves as a supportive yet critical function within the organization, characterized by close collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a high degree of autonomy. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow within a small, specialized Information Security function, providing broad exposure across the security domain. You will gain hands-on experience in a highly regulated, business-critical environment, where information security plays a key role in enabling and protecting BeGreen’s operations. The role is open to both newly graduated individuals, as well as individuals with prior years of experience within the field. Professional and educational backgrounds could include IT, IT/OT Security, IT Risk Management, Business Continuity or similar fields. Academic or professional backgrounds however are not defining, and individuals of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as the genuine interest in technology, Information Security/Critical infrastructure and cross organizational cooperation are seen as the most important factors for success in this role. Core Tasks You will work closely with the Information Security Manager and gain hands-on experience across multiple domains within Information Security. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the Information Security annual wheel and related processes. Participate in facilitating, developing, and monitoring Information Security risk assessments together with key stakeholders. Prepare, maintain, and structure documentation related to Danish energy and information security regulatory requirements. Support and advise in cross department collaboration within Information Security matters. Support the development and rollout of information security awareness initiatives across the organization. Support internal audits, compliance checks, and preparations for external audits and inspections. Competences Interest in working with regulations and standards such as ISO 27001, NIS2, or sector-specific requirements (experience is a plus, not a requirement). Demonstrates a structured and analytical mindset with attention to detail and a willingness to work with generating technical documentation and risk assessments. Strong communication skills both verbally and written in English, Danish is not required but a plus due to local legislative language. The ability to explain information security topics in a clear and pragmatic way, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across the organization. Curious and proactive in exploring new technologies, methods, and practices. Experience with networking and operational technologies are a plus. Able to work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team. BeGreen operates within the Danish Energy Sector, and therefor candidates will be subject to complete extended screening and when relevant required to maintain an active security clearance provided by the Police Intelligence Service (PET) throughout their employment with BeGreen.
