We are looking for a Technical Safety Engineer to join our SHEQ department. You will primarily work together with the technical safety engineer in the department. The department is responsible for ensuring the overall support and facilitation of the INEOS Life Saving Rules and Principles, management of procedures, audits, SHEQ reporting, operational safety, process safety, environmental and chemical, competence management, technical safety and emergency response.

INEOS Energy is an oil and natural gas production company with activities in the North Sea of Denmark with Syd Arne, and Siri as our main production assets. We have exciting projects ahead of us, including tie-in of Hejre and future possibilities for Solsort east. Furthermore, we are currently in the development of the Greensand carbon storage project, which plans to permanently store CO[2] in the Siri area, when the fields have ceased production.

We are currently close to 300 employees in Denmark with offices in Esbjerg and Virum. You will be based at our office in Esbjerg and regularly interface with our colleagues offshore and in Virum.

Your key tasks will be to

Projects

- Act as Technical Safety Engineer.
- Oversee the project to ensure technical safety is compliant with contracts, specifications, relevant codes, standards, and legislation.
- Review of technical safety deliverables and technical safety decisions.
- Participate in hazard and risk reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, Bow-tie and ALARP.
- Provide input to QRA, EERA and Safety Health and Environmental Case.

Operation

- Update Safety Health and Environmental Case, Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) and, Evacuation Analysis.
- Identification of Safety and Environmental Critical Elements (e.g., using bowties).
- Ensure compliance with INEOS Internal Group Guidance Notes (IGGNs) and 20P requirements related to Process Hazard Assessments.
- Support Technical Authorities (TA's) in HAZID, Risk Assessments and general technical safety advice.
- HSE Risk Management governance.
- Participate in MOC (management of change) process and assist in risk assessment for proposed changes.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you

- Hold a relevant master or bachelor's degree in Engineering or safety management.
- Have a minimum of 2 years' experience from a Technical Safety Engineering role in an oil and gas operating company or as a contractor to the oil and gas industry.
- Have good knowledge of Technical Safety standards and Danish offshore regulations.
- Have a structured and analytical approach to your work.
- Proven Risk Assessment skills and Safety Leadership.
- Are a team player with the ability to challenge colleagues constructively.
- Are fluent in English and Danish verbally as well as written.
