Do you have a passion for Metrology and are you experienced into develop, validate and maintaining measuring methods and equipment, and do you know how to prepare uncertainty budgets? - If so, you could be the ideal candidate for the Metrology Engineer position in our DCM Metrology and Automation team.

The position
As a Metrology Engineer, you will be responsible for measurement equipment and process control equipment (PCE) used in our IPC, QC and Metrology laboratories, where we measure and control plastic components for the device production, both internally and at our global suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Develop and implement measuring equipment for IPC and QC approval within local production and around the world for our supplier network
- Planning various activities around user training and support operations here at DCM production and at external suppliers with metrology related tasks and challenges
- Supplier communication, functional location review, document review and updates,
- Coordinate and plan training activities internally and towards our suppliers
- Develop and maintain documentation in the Quality Management System (e.g. creation, peer review and update SOPs)
- Create and run Change Control to our QMS
- Drive quality improvement initiatives using methodologies such as systematic problem solving (3C), process mapping (VSM’s) or other LEAN methodologies
- Conduct validation activities to current GxP and IT security requirements, hereunder use TIMS3 as platform for documentation

You will be part of the DCM Metrology & Automation team, which consists of 12 Metrology and Automation engineers. The team is facing an exciting challenge where we are in the process of standardising and digitalizing our processes. You will as Metrology Engineer be part of servicing our existing suppliers and take part in establishing new productions sites around the world. That will include communications, documentation, training etc.

Qualification
On a personal level, you bring a positive and high-quality mindset, with strong relationship-building skills and a straightforward, systematic approach to problem-solving. You are disciplined to follows the requirement for documentation to GMP. You have a proactive approach and are self-driven, you are eager to develop both yourself and your team while maintaining a good sense of humour and energy. You take responsibility for your tasks, thrive in an independent work environment, and excel at managing multiple stakeholders with a service-minded attitude.

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following qualifications:

- Technical education, (ex Måleteknikker) academic degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant background
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience as a technician or engineer working with Metrology from the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry in a GxP controlled environment
- Knowledge of process control equipment (PCE), medical device manufacturing, GMP, validation, and Lean principles is an advantage
- Fluency in both Danish and English, both written and spoken, is required.

About the department
The department DCM Device Metrology & QC consists of 110 employees divided into 7 teams. In our team we are specialize in ensuring reliable and automated measurement processes to ensure right quality of our plastic components. We are supporting both in our internal production and for our suppliers around the world. Our plastic components are used for various types of medicines, and it is crucial for us that our company always meets the defined requirements so that our patients can safely use our products. The position is based in Hillerød, Denmark, with occasional travel to DCM suppliers and/or partners in Europe, (North and South) America, and China.
