What’s the role about?

Novo Nordisk, a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a dedicated Information Security Architect to join our Information Security department, consisting of 190 security professionals. This role will be pivotal in evolving our classification and sensitivity labeling of information and data, driving implementation of information classification and protection, managing existing security controls, and aligning with Security Operations for monitoring and response.

As an ideal candidate we expect you have a strong background in information protection, security controls, and incident response.

Your key responsibilities are to:

- Lead the evolution of classification and sensitivity labels across the organization
- Manage and govern labels structure and ensure they meet organizational needs and compliance requirements
- Drive the implementation of classification and protection beyond M365, including in Azure Purview
- Set requirements for information protection in IT solutions to ensure data integrity and confidentiality
- Align with Security Operations on monitoring and response for labeled information

Candidate profile

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree is preferred
- Experience in information protection, security controls, and incident response
- Strong knowledge of classification and sensitivity labeling, especially within M365 and Azure Purview
- Proven ability to manage and implement security controls across a global organization
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus

Global Information Security Advisory (GISA) is an integral part of the Global Information Security organisation and is based out of DD&IT in Denmark. GISA is a global organisation with team members situated in Denmark, USA, and India. The GISA department consists of experts across diverse information security domains and strong business knowledge. We collaborate closely with businesses partners throughout the value chain, providing guidance and counsel to ensure the security of Novo Nordisk.
