You’ll support the ongoing development and governance of Vestas' global critical HSE risk framework, ensuring the effective management of significant and emerging risks across the business. You will develop risk standards, critical controls, and operational requirements, evaluate control effectiveness, and run complex risk reviews that support informed, risk-based decision-making. Partnering with regional and functional leaders, you will support strategic risk reduction initiatives, improve governance practices, and represent Vestas externally to ensure alignment with high standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
You will play a key part in Global Health, Safety & Environment. You will be responsible for:
Oversee the governance, development, and continuous improvement of Vestas' critical HSE risk framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice
Develop and implement critical risk standards, controls, and operational requirements, evaluating effectiveness and enabling continuous improvements that improve risk management outcomes
Analyse complex and emerging risks, perform risk reviews, and provide technical knowledge that translates technical insights into practical business recommendations and risk-informed decision making
Build compelling business cases and value propositions that support investment decisions, strategic priorities, and the delivery of critical risk reduction initiatives across the organization
Partner with regional and functional leaders to improve risk governance, embed consistent risk management practices, and promote collaboration across a complex global business
Engage, persuade, and motivate stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, using effective communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills to secure alignment and deliver results
Represent Vestas in external industry forums, working groups, and stakeholder engagements, leveraging strategic insight, commercial acumen, and industry best practice to enhance organizational capability and performance
Qualifications
We imagine you will hold the below qualifications or equal
experience:
Certifications in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management and complex incident investigations A degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related discipline Fluent ability in English, both written and spoken To do well in this role, we believe that you are: Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build alignment and secure buy-in across diverse functions, regions, and leadership levels Demonstrated ability to analyse complex risk issues, identify emerging risks, and translate technical concepts into practical business outcomes Demonstrated strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and problem-solving capability Ability to coach and support teams in developing an effective safety culture rather than simply enforcing safety rules
