We are on the hunt for a dynamic Mainframe Engineer and Chapter Lead who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for leadership. As a key player in our mainframe DevOps teams in the Developer Experience Tribe, you will guide a talented team of mainframe professionals dedicated to improving the mainframe developer experience.

What You'll Do:
- Develop and enhance our mainframe tools, ensuring a seamless development experience akin to modern cloud environments.
- Leverage modern tools, processes and platform thinking with mainframe development.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to drive innovative solutions and optimize mainframe functionalities.
- Act as the HR leader for the mainframe chapter, managing team dynamics and fostering professional growth.
Who You Are:
- Experienced in leading small to medium-sized teams, with a knack for nurturing talent and encouraging growth.
- Possess a profound understanding of mainframe technologies and programming languages.
- Understand software delivery lifecycle.
- Passionate about both technology and people, perfectly balancing technical responsibilities with leadership duties.
- An effective communicator, comfortable in guiding teams and interfacing with various stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a technical team.
- Deep knowledge of mainframe systems; system programming expertise is not required.
- A history of working collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A genuine enthusiasm for technology and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
