The Role & Department
For our Delivery Engineering Department in our Programs Business Unit, we are looking for a Product Integration Engineer. As a Product Integration Engineer at GomSpace, you will play a crucial role in delivering nanosatellites and microsatellites to customers. You will be our product expert, bridging between product developers in the Products Business Unit and developers in our Programs Business Unit. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful integration of components into our satellite platforms.

Our Programs Business Unit focuses on delivering nanosatellites and microsatellites to commercial customers, space industry partners, governmental agencies, and academic institutions. As a Product Integration Engineer in the Programs Business Unit, you will be involved in satellite projects from the sales process over design, development, simulation, analysis, and prototyping to supporting the assembly, integration, and testing in our clean room facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Be our product expert
• Perform configuration and testing of products in relation to assembly, integration, and verification of satellites/flight space hardware
• Configuration, integration, and testing of new products and 3rd party hardware
• Troubleshoot and problem solve; perform technical error debugging and analysis
• Define electrical interface boards on schematic level; outsource PCB layout; documentation, prototyping, testing, and validation; introduction to our manufacturing line
• Design harnesses for satellites
• Test software development based on appropriate test equipment
• Data analysis of test results
• Act as technical advisor and support on product topics for internal project teams

Requirements
The right candidate has the following experience and know-how:

• Relevant technical education, e.g. as an electrical engineer; a technical background and experience with electronic circuits
• Experience with C and Python development in a Linux environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Experience with radios from UHF to Ka-band
• Experience in schematic design, e.g. with Altium
• Experience in harness design
• Experience from manufacturing electronic products
• Written and spoken English on a professional level
• Organizational skills; detail-oriented
• Willingness to travel

Other Skills/Abilities

• Experience with digital circuits and microcontrollers
• Experience with hardware communication interfaces and buses, e.g. RS485, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB
• Experience with power management
• Knowledge of space products and space standards, e.g. ECSS, preferred
• Knowledge in PCB design
• Knowledge of EMC design and experience with EMC testing
