We are looking for a (Senior) ML Engineer to join our Data Science Team in ROCKWOOL HQ in Hedehusene. In this job, you can expect to travel about 10% of the time in support of global projects.

Your future team
We have recently started a journey towards using more digitalization and automation and better use of data – and this is where your abilities come into play. You will join our Data Science team and work at the forefront of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

What you will be doing
As our new Senior ML Engineer with expertise in ML Ops and DevOps in general, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing advanced Machine Learning pipelines related to GenAI, computer vision and manufacturing sensor data applications. You will collaborate with data scientists, data engineers and platform engineers to develop and deploy models in both manufacturing and commercial side of business.

More specific responsibilities include:

Model deployment & monitoring

  • Design, develop and implement advanced Machine Learning pipelines in both cloud, on-prem and edge devices.
  • Implement and support model monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Implement efficient algorithms for real-time processing of sensor data.
  • Deploy models on edge computing devices such as Nvidia Jetson.
  • Use Azure OpenAI, vector databases, Langchain and several other services and packages to deploy custom GenAI applications
  • Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices to streamline model development and deployment.

Follow Machine Learning Best Practices & ensure collaboration

  • Implement Machine Learning Ops practices to streamline the development, deployment, and maintenance of models in production
  • Collaboration with the team in identifying areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance the data science function in our organization
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure & Platform team to ensure development of robust ML pipelines
  • Collaborate with Data engineers to identify data sources and develop efficient data pipeline strategies

Stay up to date with latest technologies in AI/ML domain

  • Ensure continuous learning and development
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in Data Science to ensure that our practices are cutting-edge

What you bring

  • A master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science and it would be great if you have experience with either the manufacturing industry or with GenAI
  • Excellent skills within Python, R, SQL, and cloud computing technologies
  • Hands on experience in deploying models and algorithms into production systems is desirable
  • Experience with Orchestration, Containerization, DevOps & ML Ops tools and frameworks such as Docker, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, MLflow, Azure DevOps etc.
  • Common Cloud & Machine Learning platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, Databricks and more
  • Experience with developing Infrastructure as Code solutions and using for example Bicep
  • Cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • In depth knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with Agile development as applied to Data Science
  • Professional in English language
