If you are motivated by responsibility and a varied working day within financial controlling where management, driving the budgeting and reporting processes, and legislation are key elements, then this exciting and developing position as Director, Finance & Accounting might be the right match for you

As Director, Finance & Accounting, you will have direct reference to the CFO in Danish Crown Beef, René Røjkjær Larsen. Your part of the organization consists of four finance employees. You will obtain great insight regarding the many processes combined with having a broad contact surface in the organization. The Financial Controlling department is a natural focal point in Beef, and therefore you will have daily interaction and collaboration with many stakeholders in Beef as well as in Danish Crown and externally.

You will play an important role in defining and executing our finance strategy and transformation. Therefore, you will be responsible for creating more transparency through standardization and automation, valid KPI’s, and relevant business insights.

Provide guidance to the business and people
You will have different areas of responsibility, including finance reporting and budgeting, yearly accounts, legal compliance, and people management.

Your tasks are diverse and include, among other things, the following:

1. Ensuring the budgeting and reporting processes for the Danish Beef sites
2. Validation of reporting from finance employees
3. Rolling 12 months forecast in connection to budgeting
4. Strategy calculations
5. Point of contact for Global Business Services
6. Take part in screening and selection of IT solution and stakeholders
7. Follow up on Beef’s legal compliance with finance and administration

People oriented with financial and management experience
Broad experience and interest within finance, processes, people, and business is required to succeed in this position. Ideally, your experience comes from a production organization. You have management experience from a finance department and thus have vocational competencies. You have solid IT competencies and communication skills. By the end of the day, your passion, motivation, and desire to learn new things are more important than how many years of experience you have.

As a person, you are patient, empathic, and capable of cooperating across functions. You are used to operating in an international environment with a multitude of stakeholders. You understand the importance of hearing different perspectives on complex issues and take the necessary time to involve stakeholders. It is necessary that you can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English.
