Embedded Engineer – Ultra Low Power Design for Wearables

We're on the lookout for an Embedded Engineer with a passion for squeezing every microamp from microcontrollers. If you live and breathe low-power design , sleep modes, and embedded optimization for battery-operated devices , this is your moment.

Join our client's team in Copenhagen , working on a next-gen wearable platform that redefines energy efficiency in compact, sensor-rich environments.

What You'll Do:

  1. Architect and implement ultra low-power firmware for battery-operated wearable devices.
  2. Optimize MCU configurations , peripherals, and system clocks for minimal power consumption.
  3. Implement and fine-tune deep sleep modes , wakeup sources, and duty-cycling strategies.
  4. Collaborate with hardware, sensor, and mobile teams to ensure seamless integration and longevity.
  5. Profile, test, and validate power consumption under real-world use cases.
  6. Contribute to system bring-up, firmware updates, and production optimization.

What You Bring:

  1. Proven experience with ultra low-power embedded systems design.
  2. Deep understanding of MCU architectures (ARM Cortex-M preferred), low-power modes, and sleep strategies.
  3. Proficient in C/C++ for embedded development, with strong debugging skills (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power profilers).
  4. Experience working with wireless protocols like BLE , Zigbee , or LoRa in power-constrained environments.
  5. Familiarity with battery management , energy harvesting, and efficient scheduling techniques.

Bonus Points:

  1. Experience in wearables, medical devices, or remote IoT sensors.
  2. Knowledge of RTOS and event-driven firmware design.
  3. Experience with power measurement tools (e.g., Joulescope, Nordic Power Profiler).
  4. Familiarity with over-the-air updates (OTA) and secure boot.
