Key Role in Process and Safety Engineering for International Biogas Plants

Take on a pivotal role in ensuring safety in the design of international biogas plants.

Area of Responsibilities and Tasks

As part of the Process & Safety Engineering department, you will be a member of a core team of highly skilled experts and specialists who provide advisory support across the organization. Your closest colleagues will have expertise in various areas of biogas plant engineering design and development, and you will receive responsibilities tailored to your electrical and/or automation competencies.

Along with the rest of the team, it will be your responsibility to ensure the use of best practices within electrical and automation engineering as well as adherence to relevant legislation and standards within the company and the field. This will involve tasks such as:

  1. Interpreting and implementing requirements according to Technical Assurance and Design for Safety.
  2. Developing design engineering manuals.
  3. Providing technical input into ongoing projects.
  4. Engineering development and optimization of standardized products.
  5. Liaising with external suppliers to align expectations and compliance as well as vetting new products and technologies.
  6. Quality assurance and milestone reviews.
  7. Advising on technical solutions that may differ from standardized products.
  8. Leading various internal projects within electrical/automation.

This position is a specialist role with a focus on supporting the design and development of plant design and providing technical solutions for ongoing development projects as well as operational challenges.

Depending on your competencies, you will also lead or drive internal projects with a focus on adherence to safety requirements.

Your work will primarily occur at our offices in Aarhus, Odense, or Støvring. As a new colleague in the engineering department, you will undergo an onboarding process, during which you may be required to spend a few days a week at one of our other NE locations.

You Will Thrive in This Role If

You have an educational background as an engineer, automation technician, marine engineer, or equivalent, and have many years of experience in a similar position in the oil, gas, energy, or process industry. You are a logical thinker with a structured approach to problem-solving.

You excel at building and maintaining strong relationships across the organization and demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills. You are approachable, a strong communicator, and bring a positive, service-minded attitude to your interactions with colleagues. You can effectively engage in cross-organizational teamwork while also delivering independently, with quality being your hallmark. You are curious, eager to learn, and strive to continuously improve your skills. You thrive in the role of an expert and specialist in your field.

You have knowledge of and experience with some of the following areas:

  1. Machine and process electrical installations.
  2. Biogas, gas, oil, or related process/energy plants.
  3. Technical Assurance/Design for Safety.
  4. Risk Assessment, HAZID/HAZOP.
  5. PLC and SCADA control systems (Rockwell, Siemens and/or IGSS).
  6. ATEX.
  7. SIL.
  8. Alarm management and development of alarm philosophy.

You are proficient in both Danish and English, with strong communication skills in writing and speaking. You are also skilled in the use of common IT tools, such as Microsoft Office 365 and beyond.
