About the role:

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Engineering team in Copenhagen.

You will report to the Data Engineering Team Lead and have the opportunity to:

  • Build and maintain our next-generation Data Platform in Azure: You'll be at the heart of developing and optimizing our data platform, which is crucial to our payment processing system.
  • Champion modern data engineering practices: Advocate for efficient data processing, modern data integration, and solid data modeling, ensuring our data platform is scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with colleagues across different departments to analyze project requirements and ensure our data platform meets business needs.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, innovative team: Participate in Agile team rituals, actively contribute to improving our team's workflow, and take responsibility for your own learning and development.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Azure Data Platform (Databricks, Data Lake, PowerBI, Azure SQL).
  • Experience with Data Pipeline orchestration (Astronomer Airflow).
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code and container development and orchestration (docker, K8s).
  • Experience in integrating heterogeneous data sources into a Data Lake.
  • Solid understanding of Python.

The ideal candidate is a curious and eager learner with a strong desire to continually expand their knowledge in Data Engineering. They possess excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team. Fluency in English is essential.
