Terma offers multiple motivating student worker positions in various departments within our Research and Development (R&D) organization.

As a student in R&D, you will experience a variety of tasks and have the opportunity to practice your theoretical skills. We pride ourselves on always having an open work environment where we help each other stay focused, committed, and motivated to deliver value to our colleagues throughout Terma.

Team and role

As a student in R&D, you will be part of an organization with a lot of engaged international employees, where specialized technology, deep knowledge, playful innovation, and continued improvements are driving factors in everything we do.

You will be working closely with highly skilled colleagues, working on exciting internal and customer products and projects, and growing together with other passionate students as a part of our internal people pipeline. You might work on the future of software, making the world safer through security and defense, advanced analytics that secures the right decision-making around the world, or building the future radars for airports, harbors, and ships.

Qualifications

Your background is not important if you have a passion and interest in working professionally in a high-tech company and look forward to setting your footprint. We are open to candidates from many different programs.

We are currently seeking student workers pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in disciplines such as, but not limited to:

  • Software- and Systems Engineering
  • Data Scientist and Cybersecurity
  • Management- and Business Development

The key to success as a student worker is to show commitment, work with passion in groups and independently, have an outgoing and proactive personality with humor and curiosity, and show initiative in daily work. Therefore, it is essential that:

  • You can communicate in English
  • You take pride in making things happen, particularly when identifying and proactively dealing with issues
  • You can solve your tasks within set deadlines and with a strong focus on quality and detail, in close cooperation with your colleagues
  • You work in a structured manner and can coordinate and manage several things simultaneously without losing track
