Resights began with a vision to consolidate real estate data onto a single platform - to save time and improve decision making. No more cluttered spreadsheets or gut feelings. Since then, we have through an unusual close relationship to customers, developed the platform immensely. Today, the platform caters for many different use cases. Let us take you inside the Product team at Resights.

We like to think of ourselves as sympathetic doers. By sympathetic doers, we mean being able to make serious progress super fast without sacrificing being human in the process. We laugh, we have fun, and we know what happens in each others’ lives.

We are approx. 20 people strong split between frontend, backend, designers and product managers. We are a mix of problem thinkers and solution designers, all working towards improving our product and paving the way for the future of the commercial real estate industry. We are a team where all thoughts and opinions are valued, no matter who it comes from. Our role is highly cross-functional, and we are working with all teams and customers to improve our product. We have direct access to everything we need. Customers, internal stakeholders and experts, so we literally have no excuses.

Tech stack

Our tech stack consists of backend services and workflows written in Python. Everything is deployed to Kubernetes, using ArgoCD, and our data workflows are orchestrated by Argo Workflows. The frontend is a SPA written with VueJS. Finally, everything is hosted on AWS. Besides that, our engineers know their way around document-oriented databases (Elasticsearch) and SQL databases (PostgreSQL).

What you will be doing

  • Work closely with designers and product managers to translate wireframes into fully functional frontend code using our design system.
  • Develop responsive and adaptive frontend solutions that work seamlessly across various devices and browsers, ensuring consistent performance and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with the backend team to integrate frontend features seamlessly with backend systems.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks within frontend code and optimize application performance to deliver fast and efficient user experiences.
  • Enforce coding best practices, maintain code quality standards, and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to established guidelines and conventions.
  • Diagnose and resolve frontend issues, bugs, and compatibility issues efficiently to maintain the stability and reliability of web applications.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to other developers, helping them grow their skills and expertise in frontend development.
  • Document technical solutions, workflows, and best practices, and actively contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives to facilitate collaboration and learning within the team.

About you

We don't really believe in a long list of requirements. We imagine that you have previous experience as a Senior Software Engineer and somewhat familiar with our tech stack. We are not looking for a specific number of years, but rather the impact you’ve had.

If the basic requirements are in place, then the most important thing is an assessment of your talents and skills. To limit human bias, we make use of a digital tool and a realistic engineering case to assess this. We believe this is the fairest way to recruit new people. Quite simple.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with non-trivial amounts of data. You can move it around, massage it and love it.
  • Experience with the operational side of software development. You know what it takes to run software in production.
  • Experience with writing high quality tests.
