As Norlys Energy Trading currently increases its focus on data-driven decision-making, we are expanding our team to support this strategic initiative.
The team works directly with the front-desk (traders and quants) so the effects of these tools are clearly visible. The team uses iterative processes to capture the requirements of the stakeholders and develop the tools.

Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain scalable resilient applications for interfacing with energy markets.
- Collaborate with domain experts across the organization to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet the needs.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues as they occur in internal applications and against third party applications.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure our application architecture scales with the business.
- A university degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related engineering field.
- Experience with building software as a software engineer
- Eagerness to learn and a willingness to collaborate

Desired Skills- Experience in Python and/or C#
- Experience with web-based UI and API services (such as Dash/Flask)
- Experience with Azure SQL
- Experience with Message Brokers or Event Streams
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or a competing cloud platform
- Ability and interest in navigating a complex and evolving domain
- Experience working within the energy sector
- Experience with cloud-only development
