Our client is a fast-growing Danish subsidiary of a mid-sized Asian company, specializing in the production of dietary supplements. In 2023, they acquired a modern manufacturing facility, equipped with a fully integrated production line for blending, filling, and packaging powders into tin cans. The site also features advanced clean room environments and state-of-the-art stick and sachet production lines. Serving customers across Europe and Asia, the company is backed by strong industry partners in both regions. The Danish team currently consists of 15 enthusiastic colleagues, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The Role

To strengthen and support the ambitious strategy, the company is insourcing the accounting and controlling functions and therefore expanding the team with a Finance & Accounting Manager. In this newly established role, you will be responsible for further development and setting up of the accounting system, providing relevant, timely and accurate financial reports and analyses to support decision-making processes. The Finance & Accounting Manager will work closely with the local Management Team and will report to the Vice President for Denmark and to the Head of Global Finance at the HQ in Asia. The key tasks include:

• Preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and reports
• Manage and execute financial accounting in Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, VAT, and indirect tax regulations
• Optimize cash flow and forecasting
• Coordinate and lead the financial forecasting process in collaboration with business managers
• Provide support on daily business operations and ad-hoc projects
• Oversee payroll accounting, that is outsourced

Your Profile

To be successful in this job, you have more than three years of experience in a role where you have gained extensive hands-on experience in financial accounting, closing, and international reporting, ideally in a production-based company. Based on a relevant education within Accounting and Finance, your expertise includes Danish accounting systems, taxes, and financial regulations.

Your experience ideally includes working with ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365 Business Central.

You are comfortable further developing and setting up the accounting system, collaborating with various stakeholders across an international setting. A team player who thrives in a small but growing organization while maintaining strong ties with the parent company.

Your working style is efficient and detail-oriented while being able to multitask.

You thrive in a changing environment, demonstrating a structured and independent approach. You are proactive and can be humble if appropriate as well.

With your international mindset and perhaps experience/knowledge of Asian cultures, you adapt easily to your surroundings. As a person, you are known as cooperative, grounded, and well-balanced. You thrive working in a small and growing team with the backup of the international mother/holding company. Finally, you master Danish and English fluently both orally and written.
