Student Helper - Business Intelligence at Advansor

Advansor is looking for a Student Helper - Business Intelligence to become part of a successful company driven by climate actions.

The Student Helper should be able to work approximately 2 days per week. The total number of working hours can also be spread over more than 2 days, but the exact working schedule will be planned on an ongoing basis.

Your role

The Controlling department at Advansor acts as a support function for management, providing data for decision-making.

You will participate in project work related to data management, governance, and implementation of new systems in cooperation with IT and Accounting. This also means that you will cooperate with departments across the entire organization.

Your main tasks will include:

• Play a role in our efforts on data governance
• Participate in securing optimal use of data to support business strategies
• Analyses and reports, including creation and updating reports and dashboards in PowerBI
• Participate in project work on data governance and business intelligence
• Secure that data is structured, accessible, and easy to understand for technical and non-technical colleagues
• Participate in the development and implementation of new governance structure, securing correct collection, structuring, and use of data
• Work with different data models and data protection as well as participating in practical data tasks
• Secure that all data efforts are connected to the strategic targets of the company

What does the position require from you?

You are probably studying Cand. Merc. BI or Cand. Merc. IT, but it is not a requirement. You are fluent in English as you will be working with colleagues of many different nationalities.

In order to succeed in the position, you must be curious about how things work and have the desire to learn new things. It is only positive if you are critical and open to ask questions – better too many than too few.

The tasks you will handle require some knowledge about PowerBI. You don’t have to be an expert, but you must be willing to learn. In general, you are expected to take responsibility for your own learning.

When working in the Controlling department, no two days are the same. Unplanned tasks will always come up, so you should be comfortable with handling sudden changes in priorities.

Knowledge of DAX will be an advantage but is not a requirement.
