We are searching for a security specialist

For this role, we are looking for someone to join Nykredit – one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw, Poland and you will join our Technical security team which consists of 5 employees across Denmark and Poland (2 in Poland and 3 in Denmark). The team is in charge of defining the security architecture and monitoring the security posture of Nykredit to ensure a secure IT environment for the business.

The position as security specialist offers an opportunity to work with security in a complex IT environment, where legacy and cutting-edge technology meet. You will work with multiple disciplines in the security area, including risk and threat assessments, incident management, vulnerability management, and security testing.

At Nykredit, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Rasmus Ebdrup.

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Perform security assessments of IT solutions
  • Security incident management
  • Vulnerability management
  • Security testing
  • Work closely with a broad range of people, including developers, solution and enterprise architects, cloud engineers, and people in business functions – both in Nykredit and with our partners
  • Travel to Denmark approximately 8-10 times a year

To succeed you will have:

  • A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Master’s degree related to IT security
  • The ability to explain complex technical material both verbally and in writing

It’s nice-to-have:

  • Experience from a similar position, but it is by no means required
  • Knowledge of security frameworks e.g. ISO 27001/2, NIST Cybersecurity framework, etc.
