Our projects cover a broad range of near-surface investigations ranging from groundwater, surface water-groundwater interaction, and climate adaptation/terrain near groundwater, as well as polluted sites, mapping of raw materials, and geotechnical investigations.
Minimum requirements for the job include a master’s degree in engineering, geophysics, or similar, and a minimum of 6 years of experience with geophysical cases from both theoretical and practical perspectives. Experience with project management, interaction with customers, and writing proposals in different geographies will be valued.

Your new role
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be within near-surface geophysics via ground-based and airborne techniques, with a focus on groundwater investigations . Duties include:
- Project management
- Development of new technical deliverables and reporting
- Coordinating with international experts
- Writing proposals and client business development support
- Technical evaluations and consulting with clients
- Integrating and interpreting geophysical data with other data
Your new team
As our new Experienced Hydrogeophysicist, you will be part of a dedicated geological and hydrological team with 17 Danish and international colleagues in Aarhus and Aalborg, who work closely with experienced and skilled engineers, geologists, and hydrologists in Copenhagen, the Nordics, and the US. The geophysicist team has at least 8 experienced geophysicists in Denmark and the US. Right now, we are working on the huge DWR groundwater project in California and more projects in Germany, besides the projects in Denmark. This provides excellent possibilities for developing your competences in a professionally strong environment with good support and a relaxed tone.
About you
From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:
- Geophysicist or Engineer
- At least 6 years of experience
- Experience in using electrical and electromagnetic geophysical methods with a focus on hydrogeological mapping, e.g., SkyTEM, tTEM, FloaTEM, sTEM, single site TEM, and ERT
- Understanding of groundwater management principles and use of geophysical methods to assess saltwater intrusion, land subsidence, aquifer delineation, managed aquifer recharge siting, etc.
- Project leadership at the task level
- Ability to use geophysical processing and inversion software, as well as GIS
- Good writing and oral presentation skills in Danish, English, and German
- A national and an international mindset
