Your role
As our Ophthalmic Lens (OL) Product Manager, you'll be part of a team responsible for continuously improving Specsavers products and making a difference for our customers' eye health. In this role, you'll work with our Ophthalmic Lens Engagement Manager to take responsibility for the OL portfolio in NE and ensure that stores and support offices have all the information needed to sell the products.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed and updated of all new and current products and category developments.
- Support local teams with queries and quality issues, liaising with the global OL team and M&D.
- Plan and deliver new ophthalmic lens launches and discontinuations in the region, ensuring all systems are updated, the correct technical information is shared with all relevant functions, and deliver effective stakeholder management.
- Liaise with the Performance and Portfolio to ensure correct pricing including margin, profit, and continuously compare to competitors.
- Support other office functions on discussions regarding the OL pricing and proposition.
- Drive continuous development of product categories by analysing sales performance, aligning with store needs, and supporting product strategy execution.
- Research and assess new product developments and innovations, collaborating with the Head of Glasses to identify opportunities and report key insights to the global OL team in line with defined strategies.
- Together with the Performance and Portfolio team, ensure all implementations have the necessary KPIs available to be measured and reported on and that processes are in place to track these.
- As required, lead/contribute to agreed OL development projects.
- Work with the OL engagement manager to ensure that our stores have the needed training available to be champions of the OL product category.
In the role as OL Product Manager, you'll report directly to the Northern European Head of Glasses. Occasional travel based on business needs is to be expected in the role.

As Ophthalmic Lens Product Manager, you'll become an integral part of the dynamic Specsavers team, collaborating closely with talented colleagues. Our team operates both on-site at our Northern European Support office and embraces hybrid work, offering flexibility.
As our Ophthalmic Lens Product Manager, you'll work at our Copenhagen support office in Nordhavn. Our office features many collaborative spaces and a stunning rooftop terrace with breathtaking city and harbour views.

We're seeking a passionate professional with a significant level of knowledge of optics and ophthalmic lenses. Experience from an operational role in a multi-site retailing and e-commerce business is also preferred.
In addition, to fulfil this role at Specsavers, we would like that you align with the following requirements:
- Have substantial technical and commercial understanding of the optical industry.
- Proven experience in the optical industry and ophthalmic needs in all parts of the value chain.
- Ability to prioritise work and manage your own workload.
- Proven experience with stakeholder management and a good level of interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with a diverse range of people.
- Experience of implementing new products and interfacing with multiple stakeholders.
- An analytical and logical approach, and able to consider multiple and varied solutions to problems/issues.
- Strong attention to detail and a strong drive for improvement.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and sound IT skills.
- Being a trained Optometrist is not required for this role, but it is desired.
