As our current AFR-managers are moving to DHL in the US, we - DHL Global Forwarding Denmark - are currently looking for a department manager for our AFR (both Import and Export) activities in Vejle. You have relevant experience, strong personal skills, and a willingness to contribute and coach.

In this position you will, among other things:

1. Lead and motivate a team of skilled freight forwarders
2. Drive performance improvement to achieve KPI targets
3. Prioritize and delegate work tasks among the team members
4. Ensure that all customer enquiries are responded promptly and professionally
5. Attend customer visits
6. Take an active role in the development and coaching of the team and identify development wishes and needs
7. Serve as escalation point for customers, Operations, overseas offices and other parties
8. Monitor overall customer activity and take necessary action
9. Monitor and analyze department GP down to file level

Working hours: The position is a full-time position (37 hours excl. lunch)

The compensation package: The base salary is determined by your qualifications and competencies. The position is graded and sits within a predefined payband. Besides the base salary, you will have – just to mention a few of the benefits - a pension scheme, bonus scheme, 25+5 vacation days per year, and a "Fritvalgskonto" (a "saving account" equal to 9% of your annual salary) paid out in December.
