CIM Blades is anchored in Vestas Quality. In CIM Blades, we work closely with blade designers, engineers, and sub-suppliers on multiple activities to improve project delivery and boost customer satisfaction. We are key to the delivery of our current and future innovation.

Responsibilities

• Investigate blade related failures reported from turbines in the field by collaborating with site technicians and design engineers.
• Guide and participate in root-cause analysis and identify impact on fleet.
• Translate the nature of detected blade failures into solutions preventing re-occurrence of the failure within Vestas.
• Identify short and long-term actions to reduce the effect of failure.
• Initiate creation of necessary design change orders and update DFMEAs.
• Engage in dialogue and alignment with affected stakeholders, including Factory or supplier of blades, module owners, Service, Construction, finance, etc.

Qualifications

The most important thing is that you know how a wind turbine functions and have proficiency in solving issues of complex technical nature. Other important qualifications for success in this job are:

• Bachelor's or master's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the wind industry.
• Experience with DMAIC improvement cycle, 6-Sigma.
• High level of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Engineering Change Management and Continuous Improvement Management.
• Goal-oriented, target-focused, and willing to manage tasks.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive situation with a pragmatic approach.
• Good analytical/investigative skills.
• Structured approach and ability to break down complex technical problems into specific action plans.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Cross engineering experience and understanding is valuable.
• Usage of CAD viewer tools and SAP.
