Nordetect is on a mission to improve the way chemicals are used in the food chain. We are a DeepTech company that produces Lab-on-a-chip devices and SaaS products for environmental and agricultural testing. Our products enable farm managers, greenhouse growers, and vertical farmers to reduce risk and ensure richer harvests by leveraging data that is easy to understand and implement.

We're in the process of growing our customer base and are looking for new members to join us on this mission.

In your role as an Analytical Chemist, you will mainly focus on the formulation of sensors, data analysis and statistical modeling, along with benchmarking and validation experiments. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team with colleagues with Machine Learning, Nanotechnology, and Hardware development backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
  1. Taking the lead on all activities involving chemistry and chemical analysis
  2. Improving the robustness of our dataset collection process by implementing SOPs
  3. Visualizing and filtering data, statistical analysis, and developing data model relationships
  4. Research and development within sensor formulation and functionalizing membranes
  5. Troubleshooting issues with analytical product performance
  6. Collaborating with our software engineering department, production engineers, and product designers
  7. Maintaining an overview of the laboratories, and chemical inventory management
Qualifications:
  1. Proven work experience (3+ years) in analytical chemistry, quality assurance, or similar laboratory roles
  2. A Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmacy, and biochemistry or related fields
  3. A strong analytical instrumentation background, including method development, troubleshooting, sample preparation, and statistical analysis
  4. An understanding of formulation and fabrication of chemosensors
  5. Experience with paper-based sensing technologies is preferred
  6. Experience with spectrophotometric analysis techniques is necessary
  7. Good problem-solving and quantitative skills
  8. Excellent communication skills in English

As a person, you are energetic and take initiative to get things done. Your work is structured and you are able to manage priorities and maintain timelines. You work well independently, but see yourself as a team player with the motivation to work within a fast-paced, interdisciplinary and dynamic environment. Furthermore, you are a resident of Denmark and do not need to relocate.

If this looks like a job you would thrive in, we'd like to hear from you. We conduct interviews on a rolling basis and are looking to close the position as soon as possible.

Please apply online by submitting your CV and relevant cover letter (merged into one file) through this job posting.
