Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global Procurement > Tower Manufacturing
Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross-functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management. As responsible for the Tower Manufacturing commodity, you will play a crucial role in shaping our offshore/onshore tower supply chain globally, enabling us to deliver reliable, cost-efficient, and sustainable solutions to our customers. This position will be part of the Towers & Steel category. This team, with members spread across all continents, is commercially responsible for Vestas global network of external tower manufacturing plants.
Responsibilities
- Develop the long-term strategic direction and vision for Vestas' Tower Manufacturing activities to support Vestas' profitability.
- Deliver required inputs into Vestas' processes and key projects, e.g. New product introduction, Modularization, Alternative tower concepts, etc.
- Organize the segmentation of the supply base in collaboration with supplier account managers and build a close relationship with the key suppliers in the category to keep delivering value through long-term partnerships.
- Ensure advanced sourcing techniques with an end-to-end perspective of the value chain are applied to the Towers commodity and support both top- and bottom-line growth, and support the negotiation process and secure that the team can close negotiations on the lowest total cost of ownership and in adherence to corporate processes and standards.
- Build supply market intelligence to inform and advise the team and management about important trends in the tower market and exploit these for the benefits of the Vestas business.
- Build a significant network within Vestas, including close engagement in the Tower module with colleagues from Technology, Operations, Finance and Quality and actively engage in the global Towers & Steel team, working towards excellence with your colleagues across the globe.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience with strategic procurement, combined with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, or alike.
- Extensive experience in commodity management and sourcing strategy development in an industrial and international environment. Experience in the tower or heavy structure industry is welcomed.
- High stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders on all levels of seniority.
- Good communication skills.
- Advanced skills within PPT and Excel required.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience working across different cultures and regions.

Be a change agent who can influence, collaborate, and partner with business leaders to create results for Vestas and create change effectively.

- Positive attitude, with a process-oriented mindset and an inner motivation to continuously improve.
- Results-oriented profile with the capability to perform in a fast-paced environment and advanced negotiation skills - capable of gathering and evaluating analytical inputs and translate them into a clear negotiation position and arguments.
