Antenna Engineer for Space and Ground Antenna Modelling

Would you like to be at the forefront of space and ground antenna modelling? At TICRA, you will have the unique opportunity to do so. We develop state-of-the-art RF antenna design software that enables space agencies, defense, and spacecraft manufacturers around the world to create high-performance communication links in space and on the ground.

We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of antenna modelling, and as part of our continued growth and strategy to be a leader in our sector, a new position for an application engineer is now available at our office in central Copenhagen. In the coming months, TICRA will be involved in numerous R&D and software development projects with particular focus on array antennas and complex passive/active antenna geometries.

You will join the Applied Electromagnetics (AEM) Team and be involved in a number of activities, which will require a deep knowledge of antenna modelling and TICRA’s software.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Work closely with all other teams at TICRA to design, test, and plan new features in TICRA’s software and contribute to the user manual with tutorial examples and videos.
2. Provide technical support on our software products to our experienced customers to help them model challenging antennas, interpret results, speed up computations, and identify bugs.
3. Help develop material for training courses on TICRA’s software packages online or at customers’ premises.
4. Prepare and conduct software demonstrations during meetings with customers addressing their specific modelling needs.
5. Help write white papers and application posts on LinkedIn to highlight smart antenna designs and best practices in antenna modelling.

Your Profile

You are structured, have an analytical approach to your work, can prioritize and focus on details and quality. You have successfully worked in project teams and are able to work independently. You know how to work towards deadlines and deal with time pressure. You have excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.

We expect that you:

1. Hold a master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or astronomy and have a solid background in electromagnetic field theory.
2. Have at least three years of experience in analysis and design of array antennas, or antennas for radar systems or 5G applications.
3. Are a citizen of a NATO/EU country.

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of TICRA’s software products, antenna measurements theory/practice, or project management expertise is an advantage.
