Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark H. Lundbeck AS Full time

If you are looking for a job where the goal is to advance brain health and transform lives for people living with brain diseases and at the same time use your experience around cellular assays and your interest in data-handling, you might be our next colleague.

The role offers challenging tasks, a clear mission to work towards and a collaborative environment with room for your personal development.

Your new role

In this position, you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge around neuroscience and in vitro/ex vivo cellular assays to advance our molecules towards clinical development and beyond. You will mainly work in the lab to develop assays, generate pharmacology data, validate targets, or understand the mode-of-action of our molecules.

You will also take a pro-active role in how we work with complex data and organize our data within our department and across research. Finally, we are committed to working structured and dedicated with your personal development.

Your future team

In the Cellular and Functional Pharmacology team at Lundbeck we are 16 skilled scientists, technicians, and students who value a highly collaborative and trustful environment. We leverage every individual's knowledge to obtain the best results while maintaining a fun and informal atmosphere. Together with the rest of the Neuroscience organization, we are responsible for biological research and are focused on generating data and insights necessary for advancing both early- and late-stage drug discovery projects.

We work in a matrix set-up supporting all our four dedicated biology areas with in vitro/ex vivo data: Synapse Biology and Neuronal Circuits, Hormonal and Neuropeptide Signaling, Protein aggregation, folding, and clearance, and Neuroinflammation and Neuroimmunology.

The position of interest is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What you bring to the team

  • The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Neuroscience and has in addition some years of postdoc/industry experience.
  • You have experience in in vitro/ex vivo cellular assay development within neuroscience/neuro-immunology and have extensive knowledge around imaging and high-content image analysis. Additional knowledge around omics techniques such as proteomics is beneficial.
  • You bring a genuine interest in data handling and data organization and are curious on how to best exploit omics and multivariate data to answer biological and pharmacological questions. Perhaps you have some basic data science skills including R/Python programming.
  • Using great communication, presentation, and organizational skills you manage to work efficiently and advance projects to completion within defined timelines.
  • Finally, being a strong collaborator and partner during project work and in a departmental setting is a pre-requisite.

Our promise to you

Lundbeck offers an inspiring workplace and innovative culture, where our curiosity, accountability and adaptability enable us to transform lives. We want to go faster and further on addressing the big unmet needs of people living with brain disorders. We offer rewarding careers with a mix of exciting tasks and development opportunities that are balanced with initiatives focused on your well-being.

We need every brain in the game, and at Lundbeck, we are committed to building a workforce that is as diverse as the people we serve. Read more about our commitment at
