The position

Together with the team, you will be responsible to:

  • Prepare the annual report and quarterly announcements of the Novo Nordisk Group and maintain the high quality of our external reporting
  • Take lead in cross-functional projects to provide accounting guidance on significant and complex business transactions
  • Take part in optimising the financial reporting process and the internal controls related hereto
  • Participate in preparing materials for the Audit Committee, CFO and external auditors
  • Assess the impact from new or amended IFRSs accounting standards and take part in updating the Novo Nordisk Accounting Manual

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate would have:

  • Knowledge of and keen interest in IFRS accounting standards, either at a specialist level or with a solid foundation that we can build on together
  • Excels at challenging existing routines and rethinking how we take responsibility for a continued high quality in our external reporting
  • Bring a strong sense of responsibility for tasks and projects
  • Enjoy interacting with colleagues at all levels, but also not be afraid to lead the way
  • Experience or interest in digitalisation of data and processes will be an advantage as digital strategic initiatives is a priority in the organisation
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar field, preferably with 3-6 years of relevant experience
  • Be proficient in written and spoken English

Our team partners with all parts of the organisation to find solutions to complex accounting issues, so we need a colleague with excellent people and communication skills.

About the team

You will be part of the External Reporting team, a team of 6 specialists responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting to top management and external stakeholders.

The team is part of a larger department which is also responsible for the closing of consolidated financial statements, M&A Finance and integration, as well as the external ESG reporting. Working on these topics will also provide an opportunity for cross-collaboration within the department, fostering a more integrated approach to our external reporting.
