Join Our Team

We are looking for a Project HSE Specialist to join our Nordic cluster HSE Team to be based in Middelfart. In this role, you will support our Danish projects in the Nordic cluster and focus on the HSE tasks in the HSE department and throughout our project's life cycle. You will be ensuring that the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance are documented, monitored and maintained. You will be driving continuous improvement in all areas of HSE.

How you'll make an impact

  1. Implement and work with continuous improvement of Hitachi Energy operating unit management system and local requirements in Denmark for the operating unit of the Nordic cluster.
  2. Review customer HSE requirements and demonstrate how Hitachi Energy will manage HSE through the lifecycle of the project.
  3. Prepare the Project HSE Plan as well as other HSE-related documentation.
  4. Ensure activities under the scope of Hitachi Energy are in compliance with legal and contractual HSE requirements.
  5. Produce reports for Project Reviews, both internal and Customer, and attend the Project Review meetings to ensure the Hitachi Energy HSE Operating System remains suitable, adequate, and effective.
  6. Review HSE documentation from all Hitachi Energy subcontractors and support subcontractors to meet internal and Project HSE requirements.

Your background

  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, environmental sciences, or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience of senior HSE position in projects.
  3. Educated and proven knowledge in Danish health & safety legislation.
  4. Professional HSE certification is seen as a plus.
  5. Knowledge in ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 certifications.
  6. Strong organizational and communication skills in Danish and English.
