Game Economy Manager

It's an exciting time to join Tactile. We're a diverse team of storytellers, puzzle enthusiasts, and casual mobile game creators. Our story began in 2008 in the heart of beautiful Copenhagen, and since then we have experienced continuous growth, establishing ourselves as one of the largest gaming companies in Denmark. In more recent years, we have been scaling fast, in big part thanks to the success of a little game called Lily's Garden . Now we're on a mission to solidify our position as one of the leaders in creating out-of-the-ordinary casual puzzle games.
With more than 300 talented individuals, we are a mix of over 40 nationalities and 43% women. We truly appreciate the richness of different experiences and perspectives that Tactilers bring to the game. This is why we foster a lean organisational culture, in which each individual is encouraged to take responsibility, be open, and grow in their own way. We pride ourselves in cultivating a studio environment that stays away from crunch, that fosters your skills no matter what your discipline is, and one that gives you a place to be creative alongside other passionate and invested storytellers.
Your role & impact:
We're currently growing our LiveOps Team and are looking for a Game Economy Manager to join our team of excellence-driven and strategic product people. We believe that a well-balanced game economy is crucial for delivering fantastic player experiences while driving commercial success, and this is where you come in You'll be responsible for monitoring, improving, and ensuring the overall health of our game economies and will maximize revenue and retention of our hit game Lily's Garden, while aligning economy strategies with the motivations and behaviors of our players.
Okay, let's get a little more specific. Here's what you'll be doing on the day-to-day as a Game Economy Manager:
- You'll collaborate and share insights with our data, design, and product teams to improve the game experience and maximize revenue and retention.
- You'll monitor and balance the live game economy by reacting to issues, testing variations, and optimizing sales and events to maximize their impact for our key player cohorts.
- You'll develop progression and reward structures, currency balancing, and other economy aspects to enhance player experiences.
- You'll simulate and forecast the impact of new and existing features on the game economy.
- You'll research and implement new economy strategies and tools for game balancing, monetization, and retention.
Who we're looking for:
- You're a seasoned professional and have contributed to growing free-to-play mobile games in the past because you understand how the interaction of systems and currencies influences both the player experience and the game's financial performance.
- You feel very comfortable working cross-functionally and have successfully collaborated with Game Designers, Product Managers, and Data Scientists in the past.
- You have strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, emphasizing metrics-driven decision-making.
- You believe that candid feedback and sharing lessons learned are necessities for successful collaboration and continuous improvement.
- You're eager to stay up-to-date with F2P industry trends and quickly implement promising new strategies.
What's in it for you?
- Beautiful office space with probably the best view in Copenhagen.
- Pension and private health insurance.
- A chance to work with the latest tools and technology.
- Opportunities for individual growth with development talks as well as workshops, books, and courses.
- Daily, healthy organic breakfast and lunch prepared by our professional chefs in-house.

We review applications based on competencies and experience, so please do tell us about your favorite projects and technologies.
After we review your application, you can expect to go through the following conversations:
- A 30-min intro chat with your recruiter Vera, primarily to ensure that we're aligned on the scope and requirements of the role and that all of your questions are answered.
- A 45-minute technical interview with Morten (CTO and your future team lead) where you'll discuss your motivations and the more technical aspects of this role.
- A take-home test to see your skills in action.
- A 90-minute tech interview with Mateus (Data Scientist), Alberto (Product Manager), and Adiel (LiveOps and Monetization Manager) to discuss your test results, technical expertise as well as your views on effective team collaboration, vision, and relevant personality traits to complement your potential future team.
We are pretty thorough with our hiring process. It is important to us that we choose new Tactilers carefully - just as it is vital to ensure that we are the right place for you.
We want to ensure you have a great candidate experience whilst in our recruitment process. We will do everything we can within reason to make sure that your interview takes place in an environment that fairly and accurately assesses your skills. If you need assistance or accommodation, please let us know.
We look forward to receiving your application
