Why we need you

Skybox is looking for a talented Senior Unity Developer to join the new and growing game development team. This role is pivotal for a new strategic project creating experiences for competitive gamers.

This is an opportunity for a self-starting game developer with the right experience and energy. You'll be part of developing new concepts from scratch and becoming part of an experienced team that has earned its accolades across gaming and tech innovation.

This role is a full-time, permanent position located in Copenhagen, Denmark, and reports to the CTO.

Things you'll be doing in this role

As this is a new role, you'll be at the start of a new project that will design and create experiences for competitive gamers. You'll be involved in ideating, architecting, and supporting technical strategic decisions.

In general, you'll be doing:

• Architecting and developing a Unity-based game development platform.
• Assisting in the development of individual interactive activities (games).
• Working on the asset pipeline using Blender 3D and glTF format.
• Mentoring and coaching team members.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand user, stakeholder, and business requirements.

What we require & desire from the candidate

Important qualifications include:

• Proven experience as a Game Developer with strong experience with the Unity engine and C# language.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Unity.
• Experience with Game Engine Architecture, e.g., ECS.

It's a bonus (but not required) if you have:

• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment.
• Experience with front or back-end development.
• Experience with game development for web, e.g., using Babylon.js or Three.js.
• Knowledge of Blender 3D and the glTF file format.
• Experience leading a team of game developers.
