Dalux is looking for an experienced Software Architect to join our product development organization. In this role, you will be joining our Software Architecture group, who is responsible for our most mission-critical technology projects, as well as ensuring the foundation for our overall strategy.

Your new role
As Software Architect, you will join a group consisting of talented specialists and technical project managers, led by our CTO. The group is responsible for solving business-critical technology projects, preparing suggestions for changes in our platform and tech stacks, ensuring that we retain our current position as a technological market leader.

As a member of the Architecture Group, you will apply your knowledge and experience to help the group fulfill its mission in close collaboration with the other members. Tasks could include:

  • Identifying important technology projects ahead of time
  • Sparring, whiteboarding, and workshopping on the best possible solutions
  • Getting hands-on with the required coding and orchestration challenges
  • Working with our management group, Team Leads, and other stakeholders to ensure agreement on proposed solutions
  • Applying industry best practices to our general solutions
  • Analyzing new cross-team technological ideas and taking part in discussion & decision sessions.

We are currently also expanding our Operations group that works closely with both the development teams and the Architecture Group in creating and maintaining pipelines for deploying and maintaining our products, further streamlining the deployment process, and advising on how to implement our Infrastructure-as-Code projects.

Our tech
Dalux Product Development is done by our dedicated 20+ agile teams working together on four successful product areas. We also have multiple tech areas - for example, C#/Angular on our fullstack experience teams; MAUI/Vulcan on Mobile; and C++/Python in our Computer Vision department.

We are focused on using the right tools for the job, and as such the list of technologies may change depending on our needs and new offerings.

Your background
We believe you to have a solid background as a software developer working on a relevant tech stack, as well as some years of experience as a Software Architect in a technology-powered product company. We also believe you have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar, but do not expect intimate knowledge of all our tech stack.

Additionally, we believe you to have:

  • Strong analytical skills – can understand complex software issues and suggest creative approaches for solving them.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with functional development teams and cross-organization stakeholders.
  • Ability and experience with doing the actual coding needed to drive our projects home.

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, Database Operation (MSSQL), and AWS cloud architecture is a definite plus.

Who is Dalux?
Founded in 2005, Dalux is a Danish software company built on a foundation of geometric processing and 3D computer graphics. As a Contech company, our products are aimed at making the construction industry smarter and more efficient.

The construction industry is the second-largest industry in the world, and it is still amongst the least digitalized industries. Huge amounts of time, materials, and knowledge are wasted on modern construction sites. It is estimated that only 30% of all time spent onsite is used executing the actual construction tasks driving the process. At Dalux, we are changing this.

Our software facilitates the entire lifecycle of a building. We have a complete end-to-end solution used from the initial idea of the building, the handling of technical drawings (BIM models), the construction, and to the subsequent operation and maintenance of the building. All the way - until the inevitable demolition - we reduce waste of time, materials, and cost.

To continue building the best products on the market, we focus intensely on technology and product development. This means we are at the forefront using cloud solutions, drones, computer vision, and AI to change the way the construction industry works.

For the last 5 years, we have grown by 60% annually. Dalux employs more than 400 people distributed across 35 offices in 22 countries. All our product development is located in our offices in Østerbro, Copenhagen.

Dalux develops products aimed at the construction industry.
