The position

As Global Project Lead, you will be responsible for managing and developing the global partnership between Novo Nordisk and UNICEF in close collaboration with UNICEF's partnership focal point based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Your key tasks will be to:

  • Develop the key project scope and priorities, manage day-to-day relationship serving as Novo Nordisk's key point of contact for UNICEF.
  • Secure internal coordination and alignment on partnership strategy and activities across Novo Nordisk HQ, Novo Nordisk International Operations, regions, and affiliates.
  • Monitor partnership progress, prepare leadership briefings and drive partnership evaluation to continuously optimise partnership opportunities and value creation.
  • Develop internal and external partnership communication in close collaboration with UNICEF and communication colleagues across Novo Nordisk.
  • Manage partnership budget, contract, and risks.

You will do this in a cross-functional fashion with other team members, external partners, other departments in Novo Nordisk, and affiliates around the world.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in social sciences, project management, public health, global health, or related disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience setting up and managing complex cross-sector partnerships.
  • Stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Experience in driving communications, knowledge-sharing, and campaigning, internally and externally.
  • Knowledge about the public health field: literature, academic research institutions, key opinion leaders, and global public health policies.

On a personal level, you are structured and process oriented. You are comfortable working, both as part of a team and independently with responsibility for your own tasks, demonstrating flexibility when issues arise. You have excellent interpersonal skills, and a professional mindset and show personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative. Effective communication and presentation skills are required as well as an excellent command of written and spoken English with the ability to communicate complex matters in a simple and compelling way.

About the Department

The Global Public Affairs & Sustainability (GPAS) department is a dynamic global team focusing on Global Health Equity, Corporate Environmental Strategy, Global Public Affairs and Patient Relations, and ESG Strategy & Intelligence.

The Global Health Equity team is dedicated to Novo Nordisk's social responsibility strategy, aiming to improve access and affordability for vulnerable patients with diabetes or other serious chronic diseases such as obesity. We collaborate with patient organisations, NGOs, and other partners to tackle health equity challenges in low-resource settings worldwide. The department comprises a Global Diabetes Health Equity team, a Global Obesity Health team, and an Advocacy and Strategic Partnerships team.
