The role

As a leading broadcaster and streaming service in the Nordic markets and the Netherlands, we’re expanding our Digital Ads team to include a dedicated programmatic department. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a new department, establish strategic foundations and support our growth ambitions.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Programmatic to spearhead our ambitious programmatic initiatives. This position will oversee all aspects of our programmatic video advertising strategy, execution and optimization. You’ll be responsible for revenue oversight, SSP integrations, technical support and leading a team of specialists.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Programmatic Strategy

  • Define and execute a programmatic video advertising strategy aligned with our business goals
  • Oversee revenue by establishing clear revenue targets, KPI’s, and reporting structures to drive growth
  • Regularly monitor, analyze, and optimize programmatic performance to ensure revenue and ROI targets are met

Integrations and Platform Management

  • Oversee integrations and management of SSP’s with a focus on agency marketplaces and international platforms
  • Lead the technical setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of programmatic infrastructure in our ad server (FreeWheel) to ensure seamless operations
  • Establish and maintain relationships with SSP’s, DSP’s and other relevant tech partners

Audience and Data

  • Develop and implement audience segmentation, using first- and third-party data to enhance targeting capabilities
  • Build custom audience profiles that align with advertiser needs
  • Launch new targeting capabilities such as custom audience profiles and contextual or behavioral targeting to optimize performance
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of programmatic reporting and analytics

Yield Optimization

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize yield across all programmatic video inventory
  • Use data-driven approaches to increase fill rates, CPMs and overall revenue
  • Continuously test and adapt yield strategies based on market conditions, trends, and performance insights

Team Building and Development

  • Lay the foundation for a central programmatic team by identifying key talent needs
  • Mentor and develop team members and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
  • Define roles and responsibilities within the programmatic team as it grows
What we’re looking for

We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have:

  • Experience: +5 years in programmatic advertising, with a strong focus on video, preferably BVOD. Proven experience in strategy development, SSP integrations, and yield optimization
  • Leadership Skills: Prior experience building or leading a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of programmatic ecosystems, including SSP’s, DSP’s, ad servers and reporting tools
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions and optimize performance
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Fluent in both Danish and English
