We're expanding our data engineering team and are on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative group. As part of our team, you'll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining cutting-edge BI solutions that drive decision-making across 60+ locations worldwide. Imagine providing traders and credit teams with instantaneous access to critical data on trades, customer credits, vendors, product prices, vessel routes, and ETAs—these insights are crucial for our operations and success.

In this role, you'll be a key player in transitioning our data systems from an On-Premise SSIS-based BI system and Azure Data Platform (Azure Synapse) to Microsoft Fabric. You'll work from our Danish headquarters, surrounded by talented, ambitious colleagues who thrive on excellence and teamwork, always in close cooperation with the business. YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures using Microsoft Fabric. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and optimizing data storage solutions with a focus on data warehousing.
  • Leveraging Microsoft Fabric for efficient and scalable data processing.
  • Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Troubleshooting and optimizing existing data infrastructure for performance and reliability.
  • Staying ahead of emerging industry trends and best practices for continuous improvement.

YOUR PROFILE
We're looking for someone who is not just experienced but also enthusiastic about tackling complex data challenges. You should have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field, and 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably within the Azure ecosystem. Additionally, you should have:

  • Hands-on experience with data storage technologies, such as Spark, Databricks, and Delta Lake.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python and SQL.
  • Experience in data modeling, ETL development, data storage, and data warehousing.
  • A solid understanding of data governance, security, and best practices compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Service, and Desktop is a plus.
  • Our office is located in Middelfart, and while we love working together in person, we also offer flexibility to suit your needs.
