BEC is a financial technology company creating IT solutions for Danish banks. Together, we enable their customers to invest online, take out loans and transfer money. In other words, everything it takes to run a bank.
We have 1,700+ employees spread across five locations in Denmark and Poland. We collaborate in a flat hierarchy with a high degree of mutual trust. Here, great ideas have no rank, and we invite everybody to chip in to create the strongest banking solutions for Danish society.
Contract Manager
We are searching for a Contract Manager for our newly formed Managed Services team within the Vendor Management function. You will be the liaison between the business, internal functions, and the vendor.
BEC is transforming into a leading fintech integrator for Danish banks by strengthening our product offering and transforming the technology estate. A central part of this journey is BEC's tech transformation where outsourcing will be a natural, continuous part of the operating model to reduce complexity, increase efficiency, ensure access to international specialists, and focus the company.
To support BEC's strategic aspirations, the Operations & Infrastructure division is adjusting its setup to handle a multi-vendor setup. This is the division you will be a part of. To ensure vendors and partners live up to BEC's requirements and expectations, a new area is being established for managing and governing vendors and partners.
With the new setup still being formed, you are expected to participate in shaping the function, its processes, governance, and the collaboration both internally and towards the outsourcing partners. This includes being part of shaping the Managed Services team and supporting the transition from a service provider to a service integrator.
You will help manage the partnership and the systems being outsourced. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for obligation management, project order management, and optimizing the vendor relationship at an operational level. You need to have a strong contractual understanding combined with a commercial mindset to help advise and educate business owners as part of your vendor relationship management. This includes close collaboration with internal functions such as Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and IT Management to support the Delivery Line.
If you are experienced in contract management, supporting business and operations while having a contractual understanding combined with a commercial mindset, this role is for you.
Primary tasks and responsibilities include:
- Manage individual contracts, acting as a liaison between the business, internal functions, and the vendor.
- Handle project order management, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Handle obligation management, ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements, including the tracking and fulfillment of obligations.
- Provide a contractual understanding and commercial perspective to the contract owners and the operational boards.
- Educate internal stakeholders in the contract content relevant to them.
- Be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ensuring that contract obligations and deadlines are met.
- Have strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, effectively managing relationships between internal teams and vendors.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of legal/contractual frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations while still accounting for commercial aspects of the contract.
- Have a good understanding of ITIL, ITSM, and application lifecycle management.
- Have experience working within an IT-focused vendor management setup.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills combined with the ability to manage and communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Have experience with tools for contract management and tracking obligations.
- Be excellent at cross-organizational collaboration and being able to lead cross-organizational tasks.
- Be known for your integrity, persistence, and quality-focused approach to tasks.
