Do you have an innovative mindset and a natural curiosity when it comes to seeking opportunities and creating the best solutions for both people and processes?

We are ambitious about how we work together with our important stakeholders to improve and simplify our development processes by rethinking why and what we do and by setting frames and direction for the team. You will gain unique exposure to a large organization and complex stakeholder landscape where you can use your leadership skills to make a difference.

The position

You will be Manager of the Secondary Packaging Development Team, with approximately 16 dedicated professionals. Your team is in Devices and Delivery Solutions in Hillerød, where we are 500 highly skilled colleagues working to develop the medical devices and drug delivery solutions of the future.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordination of activities from other areas such as Regulatory Labelling, Graphics, User Communication, Test laboratory, Manufacturing Development, Quality Assurance and external vendors to build the Secondary Packaging solution
  • Set direction for the Secondary Packaging Development in Novo Nordisk
  • Be responsible for developing platform documents and ensuring we live up to future requirements and scalability of our products with the ability to re-use documentation packages.
  • Be involved in a broad range of tasks within Packaging Development, such as assessing potential acquisitions and how to resource the acquired projects, evaluate new contract manufactures and support
  • Leading the team in line with Novo Nordisk Way in order to ensure optimal employee development, planning and resource utilization
  • Clarify direction and strategy for the team
  • Responsible for people processes and people development
  • Coaching, mentoring and delegation
  • Ensuring Occupational Health & Safety in the team
  • Recruitment and terminations
  • Ensuring that the skills and competences of the team aligned with the demands and requirements set by present and future development projects and stakeholders
  • Striving to eliminate bottlenecks and secure an optimal utilization of resources and equipment
  • Coordinating and prioritizing project allocation for all employees in the team
  • Ensuring the quality of the work processes in the team, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Timely communication within team and department as well as to all stakeholders including external partners.

You will report to the Director of Secondary Packaging & Technical Writing and become a member of a well-functioning ambitious and highly engaged leadership team. Together with this team you will be a part of building up capacity for the future.

Qualifications

To be a competitive candidate we expect that you have:

  • A relevant academic degree within Engineering or natural science and, at least, 5 years of experience as a leader
  • Proven track record of achieved results and your people management skills are outstanding
  • Knowledge of what it takes to create an environment where your employees thrive and perform at their best
  • Ability to create improvements, transparency and simplicity in complex processes
  • Professional proficiency in English

You are a strong team player and communicator – and have proven your ability to engage and network with stakeholders on all levels of the organisation. You know that great results in a complex department like this come from strong collaboration across the entire organisation.

You strive for optimization and innovation, and you can prioritize and take the right decisions while engaging and inspiring people, also when required within a short time frame and under pressure.

You have knowledge of pharmaceutical production, medical device development and preferably you have prior experience within Secondary Packaging or Systems Engineering.
