As a fast-growing e-commerce agency specializing in conversion rate optimization, web development, and growth strategies, we’re seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to manage and streamline our legal cases.
We’re looking for a proactive, highly skilled legal professional to oversee and handle all our legal matters on a retainer basis, ensuring our operations remain compliant, efficient, and protected. This includes representing PurpleFire in court and managing legal proceedings through the Court of Arbitration in Copenhagen.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong legal background, experience with litigation, and a passion for supporting innovative companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Case Management: Oversee all ongoing and future legal cases, including representation in court and managing proceedings through the Court of Arbitration in Copenhagen.
- Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure company operations comply with relevant regulations, proactively addressing potential legal risks.
- Contract Oversight: Review, draft, and manage agreements with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with company interests.
- Employment Law Expertise: Advise on employment-related matters, including contracts, labor laws, and compliance for remote teams.
- Dispute Resolution: Lead the resolution of disputes, negotiations, litigation, and arbitration when necessary.
- Legal Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategies that align with PurpleFire’s goals.
- Support International Operations: Provide legal guidance for global activities, with a focus on compliance in Denmark and LATAM.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a legal counsel or corporate lawyer role, preferably with experience working with international companies or remote teams.
- Danish Legal Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Danish law and regulations is highly preferred.
- Litigation Experience: Proven ability to represent clients in court and handle legal proceedings, including arbitration processes.
- Contract Law Mastery: Expertise in contract negotiation and drafting.
- E-commerce & Tech Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the legal nuances of e-commerce businesses is a strong plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess risks and propose clear, actionable solutions.
- Strong Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external parties.
- Adaptability: Experience supporting fast-paced, dynamic businesses and managing multiple priorities.
- Independent Contractor: It’s a major plus if you can work as an independent contractor.
Compensation
- Pay is based on qualifications and experience.
- Estimated range: $8,000–$10,000 per month (retainer-based).
