Connected Cars is working on an ambitious project to connect millions of car owners with their vehicles by hooking into the on-board diagnostics available in every modern car, and we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Hardware Engineer to join us on that journey.
Our mission is to enable safer, more sustainable, and more convenient mobility to the world through responsible and transparent data collection and sharing. Our team consists of around 60 people from diverse backgrounds, and nationalities, brought together by a shared belief in team effort, community, and delivering quality products and solutions.
The positionWe are looking for an Electronic Hardware Engineer who has a passion for product development, product approval and sustainable mass production of IoT telematic devices.
Our IoT Devices are used in hundreds of thousands of cars worldwide spanning multiple car brands and models. You'll be involved in every stage of product creation, from approvals to sustainable mass production and help maintain our products end-to-end. We work from our office in the heart of Copenhagen, where you'll collaborate with talented professionals to create cutting-edge solutions that shape the future of connected vehicles.
Responsibilities- Design optimization, verification, validation and approval of next generation products including schematics, layout and bill of material. (KiCad 8 and Arena Solutions).
- Maintain existing hardware products including bill of materials, obsolete and cost optimization in (Arena Solutions, PDM).
- Assist consultancy in national approvals worldwide.
- Assist test houses in CE, FCC approval of our new coming products.
- Investigate root cause analysis on returned goods (service)
- Perform pre-EMC testing.
- Development and production of test boards for automated testing.
- Assist the software team with regards to hardware.
- Work closely with external vendors e.g. mechanical and electrical design houses (in case of outsourcing of certain hardware and mechanical projects in peak load situations).
- Bachelor/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar with approximately +3y experience.
- Experience in verification and re-design of Power supply design, Digital Circuits, Analog Circuits and Radio Frequency (Bluetooth and Cellular).
- Experience in E-CAD system schematic and layout tools, e.g. KiCad, Cadence or Altium.
- Experience in verification and using measurement equipment like PSU, Electronic Load, DMM, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer and EMC measurement equipment.
- Experience in maintaining mass production at EMS.
- Knowledge in PCB layout.
- Excellent communicator capable of liaising with multiple stakeholders, and fluent in English at a professional level.
- Comfortable working autonomously, taking full ownership and direction of their responsibilities.
- Enjoys working in a team and collaborating with others.
- Ability to handle and prioritize many tasks and projects.
