Chief Information Officer
Digital transformation in a dynamic, global organisation

MAKEEN Energy is embarking on a digital transformation journey and looking for an experienced and visionary CIO to lead the way. As leader of their global team of 30 full-time professionals, you will play a key role in shaping the future for MAKEEN. This newly established position reports to the CFO and is part of the extended leadership group.

Leading a global department with growth expectations

Your primary responsibility is to facilitate the upcoming digital transformation by enhancing both the organisational structure and competencies. You will oversee a global IT department, currently consisting of 30 FTEs, with expectations to double in the coming years. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • IT strategy
  • Business model development through digital offerings
  • Software solutions and lifecycle management
  • IT infrastructure, service delivery, processes, and operations
  • Compliance, governance, cybersecurity, and portfolio management

Proven leadership experience in strategic roles

We are looking for someone with solid experience in leading IT departments or teams, where you have designed and executed IT strategies and managed complex IT environments. We expect that you have experience in change management and stakeholder engagement in international and multicultural organisations.

We are looking for a leader who values inclusivity, with a high degree of emotional intelligence and experience in achieving goals as a team. You are passionate about technology and innovation and possess a strong business acumen and a customer-centric mindset.

Key role in leading and shaping digital transformation

This role offers you an opportunity to lead a department that will make a significant impact on MAKEEN's digital transformation journey. Digital development is vital to MAKEEN Energy's overall strategic goals, so you can expect financial backing and that your needs will be prioritised. You will have a wide range of responsibilities, and you will be leading an international team expected to double in FTEs in the near future.
