The role

This role has overall responsibility for the business outcomes of Readiculous. With Readiculous being an educational game, that makes this role a mix between ensuring that Readiculous succeeds as an educational product while also being a fun and entertaining game that kids want to come back to play again. You will take a central role in the team leadership team consisting of a producer and a tech lead and serve as manager for the creative part of the team consisting of a UX designer and a game designer.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the business outcomes for Readiculous.
  • Product vision and strategy that aligns with our business goals.
  • Set the creative vision and direction of the game.
  • Ensure the value, usability, and business viability risks are addressed on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead the team's product discovery efforts in finding valuable, usable, feasible, and viable solutions, translating business needs into features and improvements.
  • Own the product backlog, prioritising features and improvements based on user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Ensure alignment both within the team as well as with other teams involved in building the game (pedagogy, art, writers) and among key stakeholders (marketing, senior leadership team).

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with:

  • Solid product management experience - ideally also from working on games and/or products for kids.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Strong technical background or proven experience working closely with engineers building digital products.
  • Deep understanding of agile and processes related to building digital products and games.
  • Experience working with systems such as ClickUp/Jira and Slack is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for games and/or educational products.
