The Role
Empowering women to drive positive change in fashion is at the core of the Birger Christensen Collective ethos. The company has been on a journey to sustainable betterment for several years, maintaining consistent efforts to redefine the company identity, ambitions and mission, and now becoming a B Corp certified company.
We are looking for our new Sustainability leader to build our 2030 Sustainability agenda, by securing our continuous improvement journey and certifications, for our fashion collective and its 2 brands ROTATE & REMAIN. Based in our headquarters in central Copenhagen, the function will be reporting directly to our CEO.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Lead our sustainability strategy and oversee its activities, in alignment with best practices and regulations, to ensure BCC is positioned among the best performing actors in the industry.
- Support the Executive team in defining and executing our strategy, in alignment with our financial ambitions and sustainability objectives.
- Lead sustainability & certification compliance, through internal and external collaborations (suppliers, auditors, lab partners, national regulators…), update procedures & policies, train our teams and lead the internal control, organize the mandatory reporting.
- Lead our social & environmental initiatives, in collaboration with our teams, with a special focus on building BCC´s teams skills and culture around sustainability and B Corp.
- Represent BCC externally and support our communication & networking activities, to advance our brand, and to nurture a collaborative mindset and mutual support in the different networks, initiatives and communities we are part of (B Corp, DM&T, LDC, LWG, Textile exchange, Copenhagen Fashion Week…).

- Strategic thinking and deep expert knowledge on sustainability & consumer goods/fashion.
- Structured profile with a capacity to bring practical solutions to the teams.
- Trustworthy and good at building relationships both internally and externally.
