We are looking for a Facility Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and operations of our manufacturing and office facilities. As a key player in our company, you will ensure our facilities meet the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance, all while supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional medical devices to the market. The Facility Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring they remain safe, clean, functional, and compliant with industry-specific regulatory standards. You will manage building systems, lead maintenance teams, and coordinate services while maintaining a focus on the specialized needs of a medical device manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
- Facility Operations: Oversee all aspects of facility management, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems, with a focus on compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), FDA regulations, and ISO standards.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure that all equipment and systems are in optimal working condition.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the facility complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., FDA, OSHA, ISO 13485), and maintain necessary certifications.
- Vendor Management: Source, negotiate and manage offerings for maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal, and other third-party services in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing.
- Space Planning & Utilization: Oversee and support the layout and optimization of manufacturing spaces, office areas, and storage to maximize efficiency and support production schedules.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce workplace safety standards and emergency protocols, ensuring a safe environment for all employees, including the handling of hazardous materials.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the facility’s budget, ensuring cost-effective management of resources and identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
- Emergency Response: Be the point of contact for facility-related emergencies, including power outages, water leaks, or other unforeseen issues, and ensure swift resolution.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Promote energy-efficient practices and green initiatives in accordance with corporate sustainability goals.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in facility management, preferably in a regulated environment such as medical device manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and other industry-specific compliance standards.
- Proven experience in managing building systems and maintenance in a complex operational setting.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices, including hazard identification and emergency response.
- Proficiency in facility management software, Microsoft Office Suite and SAP capable.
