Project Manager - Upstream & Solutions Prep

As a process equipment PM, you will help the project with:

  1. Lead team meetings ensuring successful teamwork planning and performance, manage a minor group of users and responsible engineers.
  2. Support General Contractor in development, design supervision, guidance, and review.
  3. Contribute to the contract management process with the General Contractor, evaluating progress, change orders, supply chain challenges, and commercial opportunities.
  4. Participate and report all scope changes or trends that may impact the work package.
  5. Manage internal team meetings.
  6. Manage and evaluate status reports regarding design and construction progress.
  7. Participate in project meetings managed by General Contractor, Sub Contractors, and client.
  8. Installation supervision and collaboration with the commissioning team.
  9. Lead and drive the solutions prep and upstream Work Packages with your team and engineering partners.
  10. Ensure good collaboration and stakeholder management towards suppliers, engineering partners, and your team internally based on your leadership and communication skills.
  11. Ensure timely deliverables from all parties in collaboration with the engineering partner.
  12. In collaboration with our engineering partner and procurement management team, perform contract management versus suppliers to ensure scope, time, and economy are on track.
Key Work Experience and Skills
  1. 10+ years of experience from large pharma projects, preferably as upstream project manager, upstream design lead, work package owner, or similar positions.
  2. 5+ years of experience working on the client side.
Personal Skills
  1. Having a great sense of structure and coordination.
  2. Experience with project and risk management.
  3. Having a go-do attitude and ability to navigate in a complex project setting.
Education/Courses
  1. Educational background within Process Engineering or a similar technical background with experience in project management of cross-disciplinary projects within the pharma industry.
  2. Project Management certifications or similar.
